Job summary

SEnergy is seeking a highly skilled Settings Engineer to develop, review, and implement protective relay settings for transmission and distribution substations in Boerne, TX. The role requires 5+ years of direct relay settings experience with strong short-circuit modeling capabilities.

Travel to project sites may be required; candidate will review drawings, vendor documentation, and contribute to technical proposals while maintaining documentation quality and schedule adherence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years relay settings experience in the power industry.
• Experience with SEL, Eaton, Beckwith or similar protective relays.
• ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering degree; Texas PE license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform protective relaying analysis including short-circuit modelling, protection coordination, PT/CT sizing, and arc flash studies.
• Develop relay settings and reports for transmission, distribution, and generation substations.
• Ensure compliance with NERC, IEEE, and utility standards.
