ICF’s Digital Modernization Division is a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial, technology department, seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer with a SECRET Clearance to be part of an established team supporting our federal client in Washington, DC.

The Team
Supports the DoS modernization effort to automate all business processes within the department’s cloud ServiceNow Platform. The team follows Scrum methodology to support the CICD release methodology in a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial, technology department.
The Work
Be part of an agile team supporting the DoS ServiceNow modernization effort, contributing to the design, development, and implementation of scoped applications and enhancements across the ServiceNow platform. You will also assist in implementing ITSM best practices and contribute to CMDB, reporting, and overall platform stability and enhancements.
Description
As a ServiceNow Developer, you will be responsible for building, customizing, and supporting scoped applications, as well as participating in the ongoing improvement of ServiceNow ITSM processes. You’ll work closely with stakeholders and team members to gather requirements, design scalable solutions, and maintain high-quality ServiceNow functionality across the platform.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with experience in ServiceNow application development, ITSM, and CMDB best practices. Familiarity with reporting and performance analytics is a plus. This individual will demonstrate strong communication skills and attention to detail, with a proven ability to deliver results in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Position Responsibilities:
Develop and support scoped applications within the ServiceNow platform.
Assist with the design and implementation of ITSM workflows and improvements aligned with best practices.
Build custom solutions that enhance user experience and drive process automation.
Participate in design reviews and provide input on architectural decisions and platform enhancements.
Provide hands-on technical expertise in ServiceNow development, including scripting, integrations, and automation.
Support CMDB-related enhancements and data integrity initiatives.
Create and maintain dashboards and performance analytics reports as needed.
Ensure code quality and maintain platform stability through adherence to CICD practices.
Collaborate across cross-functional teams, including security, infrastructure, and business analysts.
Maintain and troubleshoot existing applications and integrations.
Secret Security Clearance Required
Certifications:
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator
Certified Application Developer
Required Skills:
5+ years of ServiceNow development experience with an active ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification
2+ years of experience developing scoped applications
1+ years of experience with ITSM module development and best practices
1+ years of experience with CMDB data modeling or administration
1+ years of experience with creating and managing reports and dashboards
U.S. Citizenship is required due to federal contract requirements
Must have active Secret Clearance
MUST RESIDE IN the United States (U.S) and the work MUST BE PERFORMED in the United States (U.S) as this work is for a federal contract, and laws do apply
Preferred Skills:
Experience with integrations (SOAP, REST, JSON, JDBC, file imports)
Experience administering a ServiceNow instance (users, roles, ACLs, workflows, UI policies, etc.)
Experience with Orchestration and Discovery is a plus
Experience with performance analytics and dashboard creation
Certified in two or more additional mainline ServiceNow certifications, with preference for CIS – Discovery and CIS – Service Mapping
Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:
$98,124.00 - $166,810.00 Nationwide Remote Office (US99)
