Senior ServiceNow Developer

Job Locations: US-VA-McLean

Overview:

Credence seeks IT professionals to support DoD efforts, primarily at our HQ in McLean, VA, with worldwide support to federal agencies. The role involves planning, requirements analysis, development, configuration, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment of APIs, integrations, and ServiceNow APIs.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  1. Manage development and maintenance of APIs, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.
  2. Utilize scripting languages such as JavaScript and GlideScript.
  3. Integrate ServiceNow with other systems using ServiceNow APIs (REST, SOAP, JSON) for seamless data exchange.
  4. Develop and configure integrations leveraging MID Server and Integration Hub.
  5. Configure workflows using Flow Designer to automate processes.
  6. Provide technical leadership to a team of 3-5 developers in API interface development using an API Gateway.
  7. Develop software-based API interfaces on an API Gateway platform.
  8. Build interfaces using Java, HTML, .NET, AngularJS, Javascript, SOAP, REST API, and web-based APIs on the API Gateway platform.
  9. Write Script Includes for backend logic of API endpoints.
  10. Diagnose and resolve API issues, including error handling and logging.
  11. Handle inbound and outbound API requests in ServiceNow for external system integration via API Gateway.
Education, Requirements, and Qualifications:
  • US Citizenship with ability to obtain a secret clearance.
  • BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience.
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) Certification.
  • Experience with APIs in ServiceNow for Low-Code/No-Code Development.
  • Experience with API platforms like MuleSoft is a plus.
  • Experience developing automation software based on BPMN models, using Java, Javascript, Salesforce, with Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server databases.
  • Basic knowledge of DevOps tools such as Jenkins and Ansible.
  • Experience with agile and hybrid low-code development using JIRA.
  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow architecture, data model, and core concepts.
  • Knowledge of RESTful API design and experience creating/consuming REST APIs in ServiceNow.
  • Knowledge of configuring ServiceNow for API requests, HTTP methods, and response handling.
  • Understanding of ACLs for API security.
