Job summary

Morgan Properties is seeking an experienced Senior Service Technician in Laurel, MD to lead and deliver hands-on maintenance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliances. You will own repairs, mentor junior staff, and ensure timely on-call coverage for emergencies.

A valid driver’s license and a personal vehicle are required; a certificate and several years of related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and mentor the team in diagnosing problems and completing repairs.
• Provide expert-level troubleshooting in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool maintenance, carpentry, drywall, exterior structures, and appliances.
• Be accountable for a 24-hour on-call schedule, including personal availability for emergencies such as snow, ice, or urgent site issues.
• Manage and organize inventory of all maintenance materials.
• Establish and drive schedules – on-call coverage, preventive maintenance, make-readies, and daily work orders.
• Conduct regular inspections of community buildings and vacant units.
• Execute tasks assigned by the Service Manager with urgency and accountability.

What We’ll Expect From You

• Active and valid driver’s license and personal vehicle
• Ability to live within a 30-minute commute of the property
• HVAC/EPA/CFC Certification preferred
• One-year certificate, 2–4+ years of related experience, or equivalent education
• Ability to lead, work fast, and operate without constant
