Job summary

Boston Scientific is seeking a Senior Service Development Engineer to lead service leadership for capital equipment products and service infrastructure. You will partner with Product Development, Service Quality, Manufacturing, Marketing, and other stakeholders to ensure designs are serviceable, reliable, and supportable throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Biomedical, or related engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree, or 3+ years with a master's in a regulated industry.
• Technical service experience supporting capital equipment or related engineering/R&D.
• Project management experience coordinating cross-functional activities and delivering requirements.
• Experience driving process improvements and implementing effective solutions.
• Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally ~10–20%.

Responsibilities

• Champion Quality Policy and ensure compliance with quality/training requirements.
• Serve as Service engineering representative on project core teams for products/programs.
• Collaborate with design engineers to identify, investigate, and fix service issues.
• Define service requirements and inputs to product design and development.
• Drive design-for-service to enable field/depot serviceability and maintainability.
• Develop and implement service plans, requirements, and processes for new/existing products.
• Lead escalation and resolution of complex field service issues.
• Own product NCEP activities and support CAPA with service/product input.
• Assess product changes to ensure continued service readiness.
• Monitor reliability and service metrics, provide leadership with actionable insights.
• Create service training requirements, materials, tools, and processes.
