Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Senior Server-Side Engineer to design, build, and operate the foundational platforms and shared services that other engineering teams rely on.

This role focuses on backend platform capabilities—request routing, traffic management, data fan-out, caching layers, asynchronous job execution, and durable event processing—that must handle very high traffic volumes with predictable latency and minimal operational toil.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years of backend or platform engineering experience.
• Experience designing distributed systems and internal platforms.
• Proficiency in Java, Go, Scala, Rust, or C++.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka, Pulsar, NATS, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of relational, NoSQL, and search databases.
• Experience leading technical projects and cross-team collaboration.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and mentoring skills.

Location: 100% Remote (U.S.)

Position Type: Full-time, Direct W2

Salary Range: $100,000–$150,000 Annually

Experience Required: 6+ years

This role focuses on building backend platform capabilities — request routing, traffic management, data fan‑out, caching layers, asynchronous job execution, and durable event processing — that must handle very high traffic volumes with predictable latency and minimal operational toil.

Required Qualifications

• Experience with API versioning and backward compatibility.
• Technical blogging, conference speaking, or other community contributions.
