Responsibilities

• Provide server installation and Go Live support for new facilities.
• Perform refresh of servers (CONUS) and update plans as needed.
• Provide non-routine server installation support services.
• Coordinate with points-of-contact to arrange server installations and minimize disruptions; document activities.
• Perform server installation refreshes with full hardware, OS installation, and data migration.
• Ensure systems are configured per technical specs after installation.
• Configure OS and apply security fixes during active deployments.
• Guide and support servers engineers in installations (Dell iDrac, Windows Server, ESXi, NetApp ONTAP, SQL).
• Provide technical expertise in managing IP networks, WANs, switches, routers (CISCO).
• Provide guidance to Servers, System Administrators team; troubleshoot complex issues.
• Assist design of network installations for new sites and moves, decommissioning, and peripherals.
• Create, review, and update SOPs.
• Conduct training to cross-train team members on supported tech.
• Lead preparation of drawings documenting server configuration changes.
• Lead projects or teams requiring depth/breadth of expertise.
• Manage and lead a small team for collaboration and timely objectives.

Target Salary Range*:$95,000 -$110,000

*This represents the potential salary range for this position depending on education level, years of experience and/or certifications in addition to other position specific requirements which may impact salary

Key Responsibilities:

• ?Provide server installation and Go Live support for new facilities.
• ? Perform refresh of servers (CONUS), provide a plan and update it as needed.
• ? Provide non-routine (e.g., emergency) server installation support services.
• ? Coordinate with the applicable points-of-contact to arrange server installations and minimize disruptions to on-going activities; Coordinate logistics with the other functional elements of this contract (e.g., shipping and receiving, deployment, training, etc.); and create accurate technical documents for all server installation activities.
• ? Perform server installation refreshes (all hardware components) with full hardware, OS installation, configuration and migration of data to new hardware.
• ? After installation and deployment, ensure that the systems are configured per technical specifications contained in approved technical documentation.
• ? In support of an active deployment, perform operating system configuration and security fixes.
• ? Hands-on experience and provide guidance to highly technical systems engineers, Server installation including Dell iDrac, Windows Server, ESXi, NetApp ONTAP, SNAP Mirror and SQL Database Support.
• ? Provides technical expertise in the management of servers that connect to a public and/or private network such as Internet protocol (IP) networks, wide area networks (WANs), switches, routers (CISCO), and troubleshoot issues by collaborating with all parties.
• ? Provide Technical expertise and guidance to Servers, System Administrators team, trouble shoot complex issues.
• ? Assist design of network installation configurations from ground-up in new sites, support decommissioning of a site, and assist in moves, support computer systems and peripherals.
• ? Create, review, and update SOPs.
• ? Conduct Training sessions to ensure all team members are cross trained in supported technology and provide Server technical issue resolution, that also include infrastructure-related problems.
• ? Direct and lead preparation of drawings documenting Server configuration changes at each site.
• ? Lead functional teams or projects requiring depth and/or breadth of expertise, and all other tasks assigned by the Manager.
• ? Ability to manage and lead a small team, ensuring effective collaboration, task delegation, and timely completion of objectives.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in related technical field and 5+ years of experience
• HS Degree and 8+ years of experience

Skills:

• ? 5+ years of experience in Information Technology with a focus on Server/Network.
• ? Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• ? Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, effective decision-making.
• ? Experience in Customer Service.
• ? One or more IT industry certifications.
• ? Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere platform to include vCenter, vMotion, and ESXi.
• ? Hands-on experience with server installations including Windows Server, Linux, NetApp ONTAP, and Dell PowerEdge system.
• ? Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Productivity applications.
• ? Database configuration and administration
• ? Storage appliance configuration and migration.
• ? Must be able to travel at least 25%

Physical Qualifications:

• ? Must be able to physically lift equipment weight up to 50 lbs.
• ? Must be able to perform installation work in constrained spaces like under work desks, in small cubicles, and counter window environments.
• ? Must be able to remain in stationary position for up to 50% of the time.
• ? Must be able to work in an office environment and be able to freely move within this space to utilize office equipment as well as interface with co-workers and customers.
