Job summary

DEPT® is seeking an Associate Director of SEO & GEO Content for a 2-3 month, 30-hour-per-week engagement in the United States. You will lead content strategy, production, and account performance across a portfolio of medium to large accounts, setting direction for complex SEO and GEO content programs while hands-on contributing through briefs, writing, editing, and QA.

Strong leadership and executive communication are required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in content strategy, SEO, or related field.
• Experience leading complex content programs across multi-account portfolios.
• Ability to connect search demand, audience needs, brand, and business objectives.
• Strong knowledge of SEO fundamentals and content optimization.
• Experience mentoring content teams and communicating with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead content strategy and production across a portfolio of accounts.
• Develop briefs, write and edit content, and review AI-assisted drafts.
• Perform final quality assurance on content output for accuracy and brand alignment.
• Identify opportunities and risks across accounts and guide team responses.
• Collaborate with SEO, analytics, account management, and design teams.
