Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking a Quality Monitoring Lead for Private Brands to own the routine testing program, plan and oversee testing strategies, and manage sensory teams. The role partners with the Sensory Manager and cross-functional teams to drive product quality improvements.

The position offers a flexible hybrid schedule with in-person days at core locations including Salisbury, NC; Quincy, MA; Carlisle, PA; and Scarborough, ME, and requires US work authorization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, Sensory Science, Biochemistry or Microbiology
• 5+ years of related experience, preferred in private label/manufacturing
• Must be able to work collaboratively and independently with minimal supervision
• Travel around 20-40% of time across multiple states for testing and samples

Responsibilities

• Leads planning, executing and overseeing quality review testing strategy for all private brand items
• Owns relationship with third party testing agency including budget and testing calendar
• Leads weekly Product Excellence task force meetings to address quality concerns and actions
• Conducts prioritized reviews of private brand product categories
• Leads customer research testing and supplier outreach on reformulation efforts
• Creates/master data reports for category management and cross-functional teams
• Ensures quality improvement projects stay on track within timelines
• Monitors supplier transitions to mitigate changes in quality perception
