Qualifications

• Mid-level experience in a Self Sufficiency position.
• Considerable knowledge of employment services.
• Considerable experience with child care services.
• Knowledge of basic human behavior.
• Conduct interviews to gather information and evaluate situations.
• Skilled in operating a computer and agency software.
• Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Exercise sound judgment, discretion and resourcefulness.

Responsibilities

• Assess needs for VIEW program participants and develop employment plans using job search, work experience, education and training solutions.
• Determine day care needs for customers requesting assistance.
• Prepare purchase of service orders and process day care invoices to ensure funds are properly allocated.
• Reassess clients at prescribed intervals to monitor progress in VIEW and employment status.
• communicate with customers to collect information for case records and address concerns.
• Initiate sanctions for non-compliance with program requirements and self-sufficiency plans.
• Promote employment services and maintain contacts with community agencies.
• Explore opportunities for employment to reduce reliance on public assistance.
• Assign clients to employment service program components.
• Represent the agency in meetings with community partners.
• Shelter duty when activated; willing to work in emergency shelter.
