Position Overview

EA is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our fast-paced sediment team, where you will tackle a variety of sediment management challenges. This position offers the opportunity to work out of our Hunt Valley, MD, or Virginia Beach, VA office, or for the right candidate, a fully remote option from anywhere along the Eastern Seaboard (New York to South Carolina). You will be responsible for managing projects involving navigation sediment management, port development, sediment reuse in ecosystem restoration. Projects will primarily focus on the Atlantic Seaboard and Great Lakes, with additional opportunities nationwide.

Responsibilities

  • Manage sediment-related projects from start to finish
  • Develop data quality objectives, field sampling plans, and quality assurance plans
  • Analyze chemical and biological data
  • Prepare and review environmental permits
  • Evaluate dredged material disposal options and remedial alternatives
  • Assess ecosystem restoration potential
  • Prepare MPRSA Section 103 evaluations and other ecotoxicological assessments
  • Coordinate with regulatory agencies
  • Develop cost projections to support proposals
  • Mentor and support mid- and junior-level staff
  • Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team

Required Qualifications

  • B.S. in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or a related field
  • 10+ years of sediment-related project management experience
  • In-depth knowledge of sediment science and management
  • Proven leadership skills and a passion for mentoring staff
  • Strong track record of building relationships with clients

Note: This position requires specific driving duties. You must be able to pass a motor vehicle records check required by our insurer.

Drug Screen Statement

Pay Range

$110,000—$150,000 USD

The EA pay range for this position is intended as a general guideline and does not guarantee specific compensation or salary. Factors considered when making an offer include job responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, alignment with market data, and compliance with federal and state laws.
