Job summary

CRDF Global is seeking a Senior Security & Technology Solutions Engineer to safeguard our enterprise environment and deliver secure technology solutions for programs and customers. This senior role lives in the CTO Office, blending security, architecture, and hands-on implementation.

The candidate translates mission needs into practical security solutions, supports customer engagements, and advances cybersecurity initiatives in the U.S. and internationally.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of cybersecurity/infrastructure/cloud/systems engineering experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, CS, Engineering, or related field.
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance.
  • Hands-on knowledge of enterprise cybersecurity architecture, operations, risk management, and compliance frameworks (CMMC, NIST 800-171, NIST CSF).
  • Experience with Microsoft enterprise technologies (Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, endpoint management).
  • Experience with EDR/XDR, SIEM, network security, vulnerability management, email security, identity security, and cloud security.
  • Ability to translate business or mission requirements into technical solutions and communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a senior technical resource for CRDF Global’s cybersecurity environment, including security controls and risk remediation.
  • Support security architecture across cloud, identity, endpoints, networks, and monitoring.
  • Translate program and mission requirements into secure, scalable technical solutions.
  • Develop technical narratives, diagrams, implementation plans, and cost inputs for proposals.
  • Evaluate cybersecurity tools and recommend solutions based on mission fit, security, cost, and interoperability.
  • Participate in customer discovery, demonstrations, pilots, assessments, and implementations.
  • Collaborate with IT, programs, business development, vendors, partners, and customers.
  • Support domestic and international technology projects, including deployments, documentation, and knowledge transfer.

Job Description

CRDF Global is seeking a Senior Security & Technology Solutions Engineer to support both our internal cybersecurity environment and external technology solutions for programs and customers. This senior technical role sits within the CTO Office and combines enterprise security, compliance, solution architecture, proposal support, and hands‑on implementation.

The ideal candidate is an experienced engineer who can secure enterprise systems, translate mission needs into practical technical solutions, support customer‑facing engagements, and help deliver cybersecurity and emerging technology initiatives in the United States and internationally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a senior technical resource for CRDF Global’s enterprise cybersecurity environment, including security controls, compliance monitoring, risk remediation, and continuous improvement.
  • Support security architecture across cloud, identity, endpoints, networks, email, vulnerability management, monitoring, and incident response.
  • Translate program, customer, and mission requirements into secure, practical, and scalable technical solutions.
  • Develop technical narratives, solution diagrams, implementation plans, assumptions, and cost inputs for proposals and customer engagements.
  • Evaluate cybersecurity, cloud, data, AI, and emerging technology tools and recommend solutions based on mission fit, security, interoperability, cost, and sustainability.
  • Participate in customer discovery sessions, technical discussions, demonstrations, proofs of concept, pilots, assessments, and implementation activities.
  • Collaborate with IT, programs, business development, vendors, partners, and customers to deliver secure and effective technology solutions.
  • Support domestic and international technology projects, including assessments, deployments, documentation, knowledge transfer, and sustainability planning.
Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of progressively responsible experience in cybersecurity, infrastructure, cloud, systems engineering, solution architecture, or related technology roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
  • Strong hands‑on knowledge of enterprise cybersecurity architecture, operations, risk management, and compliance frameworks such as CMMC, NIST 800‑171, or the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
  • Experience with Microsoft enterprise technologies, including Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, endpoint management, identity, and security services.
  • Experience with security technologies such as EDR/XDR, SIEM, network security, vulnerability management, email security, identity security, and cloud security.
  • Ability to translate business or mission requirements into technical solutions and communicate complex concepts to technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CISSP strongly preferred; additional certifications such as CCSP, CISM, Security+, Microsoft Azure, AWS, Cisco, or other relevant vendor certifications are a plus.
  • Experience supporting government, international development, nonprofit, or federally regulated cybersecurity environments.
  • Experience with technical proposals, capture support, solution architecture, or customer‑facing technology engagements.
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust architecture, hybrid cloud environments, automation, AI, data platforms, and emerging technologies.
  • Experience implementing or supporting technology solutions in international or resource‑constrained environments.
  • Ability to work effectively across technical, programmatic, business development, vendor, partner, and customer teams.

Salary & Benefits: The base pay range for this position is $160k-$185k. The determination of salaries in this job classification depends on a number of factors, including, but not limited to: relevant candidate experience, job‑related knowledge, qualifications and skills. In addition, we have a comprehensive benefits package, which includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, 403b retirement savings plan, unlimited paid time off, student loan paydown and more.
