Job summary

Zoox is seeking a Product Security professional to conduct structured security analyses across the System Development Life Cycle. You will quantify safety-related security risks, collaborate with safety and software/hardware teams, and drive risk-informed engineering decisions.

You will develop design proposals, verify risks in simulator environments, and produce high-quality written deliverables. Candidates should have a strong systems engineering background and deep cybersecurity expertise,

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in CS or related engineering
• 7+ years of experience in security or systems engineering roles
• Experience with quantitative risk assessment frameworks (EPSS, Attack trees/graph quantification, Monte Carlo simulations, Bayesian networks)
• Experience with risk analysis of complex embedded systems and turning analyses into written deliverables
• Pragmatic adoption of AI/LLM toolchains for security analysis and regulatory work products
• Experience with autonomous vehicle software stack (Perception, Prediction, Planning)
• Experience implementing large-scale evaluation pipelines
• Familiarity with cloud deployment architectures and frameworks

Responsibilities

• Perform Risk Assessment by quantifying security-related safety risks and collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Drive verification of quantified risks by fuzzing real-world scenarios in simulator environments
• Write design proposals and drive execution while communicating risks to partner teams
• Roll up risk metrics into company-wide frameworks
• Interface with multiple engineering teams and translate constraints into analysis and recommendations
