Job summary

Apple Inc. in Seattle, WA seeks a Senior Security Software Engineer to own software supply chain security, modeling software inventory and vulnerability data across vast Apple services.

You will lead architecture decisions, drive risk prioritization, and mentor engineers while partnering with AI tooling to secure code from AI-assisted sources. You will influence how dependencies are managed and how vulnerabilities are tracked across iCloud, Music, App Store, Siri, and more, in a scale-fit

Qualifications

• 8+ years in security software engineering with end-to-end ownership.
• Deep proficiency in Go and strong Java, including their ecosystems.
• Experience with SBOM standards, SCA tooling and vulnerability data sources.
• Track record of technical leadership and mentoring engineers.
• Experience with CI/CD, build systems and cloud/container infra (Kubernetes, AWS).
• Hands-on with AI coding assistants and AI-driven supply chain risks.

Responsibilities

• Own technical depth across software composition analysis and vulnerability data.
• Shape architecture, set technical direction, and ensure high quality across the platform.
• Mentor engineers and communicate tradeoffs to engineers and security leadership.
• Collaborate across build systems, SBOMs, and vulnerability feeds to actionable insight.
• Define secure software development practices in AI-assisted coding environments.
