Job summary

Apple seeks a Principal Security Engineering Program Manager for China Security & Infrastructure within Apple Services Engineering. You will lead security and compliance strategy for mainland China, coordinating with regulators, legal teams, and cross‑functional partners to align technical security with local laws.

You will navigate MLPS, PIPL, and related regulations, driving large-scale infrastructure security improvements while balancing privacy and user experience.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of program management with focus on infrastructure security and compliance
• Deep regulatory expertise in China’s cybersecurity, data localization, and privacy laws
• External representation with regulators, auditors, and legal teams on security matters
• Exceptional communication to technical and executive audiences with clear alignment
• Experience leading large, cross-functional programs across global time zones
• Solid understanding of cloud-native infrastructure and enterprise security controls

Responsibilities

• Define and operationalize the strategic roadmap for China security and infrastructure compliance
• Lead programs to work with Chinese regulators, legal teams, and government affairs for regulatory alignment
• Advise Apple executives on regulatory risks, compliance posture, and investments
• Manage complex cross-functional dependencies and optimize scope, schedule, and resources
• Shape technical architecture to meet security bar and local mandates
• Influence peers and executives to drive initiatives without direct authority
• Develop and own communications plans for program status and regulatory shifts
• Use data and insights to drive strategic decisions and resource allocation
