Job summary

Todyl is seeking a Senior Engineering Leader to guide two teams building and operating core security systems such as the Detection Engine, Threat Intelligence Platform, SOAR, and Case Management. You’ll own delivery quality, roadmaps, and operator-facing surfaces for our SOC and MXDR workloads.

The role emphasizes hands‑on leadership (about 80%) with architectural contribution (20%), including on-call operations and partner-visible surfaces. Compensation ranges from $175k to $200k per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 8+ years in software or security engineering, including building security products or detection/response tooling.
• 3+ years managing engineering teams; experience leading 8+ engineers or multiple teams.
• Experience developing team leads or first-line managers.

Responsibilities

• Lead two system-aligned engineering teams covering Detection Engine, TIP, SOAR, and Case Management.
• Own hiring, performance, coaching, and career development for the engineering group.
• Maintain a high technical bar through design reviews, code review standards, and architectural guidance.
• Own production operations: on-call rotations, incident review, SLOs, and reliability engineering.
• Own roadmap and product discipline for these systems; drive quarterly planning and metrics.
• Set architectural direction for streaming detection infrastructure, intelligence pipelines, and automation.
• Partner with Detection Engineering, Threat Intelligence, and MXDR on telemetry and workflows.
