Job summary

BitGo is hiring a Senior Application Security Engineer to lead the security strategy for our fast-growing digital asset platforms. The role focuses on building end-to-end security programs and integrating automated controls into the software development lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has hands-on cloud security experience, expertise in modern security tooling, and a passion for securing blockchain-adjacent technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent technical field.
• 8+ years of experience building and scaling security programs for high-growth startups.
• Experience securing FinTech/Web3/digital asset ecosystems and cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead threat modeling and security architecture reviews with cross-functional teams.
• Integrate security automation into CI/CD with SAST/DAST and vulnerability management.
• Architect secure-by-default AWS infrastructure using Terraform and Kubernetes.
• Design and deploy encryption services, KMS, and data protection across distributed environments.
• Oversee bug bounty programs, incident response workflows, and regular pentesting.
