Job summary

State of Georgia is seeking a Security Ops & Safety Trainer, Public Safety Trainer 3 (LK pay grade). This role leads agency security operations, conducts investigations of security incidents, and develops and delivers training on law enforcement, firearms, workplace safety, and overall security for staff and officials.

The position requires Georgia P.O.S.T. instructor certifications and a strong law enforcement background, with travel across the state.

Qualifications

• Georgia P.O.S.T. General Instructor Certification.
• Eighteen months of full-time instructor work in peace officer, correctional, fire service, EMS, or rescue topics.
• Two years of experience at Public Safety Trainer 2 (PSP031) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the agency's lead instructor and SME for law enforcement, security, firearms, and workplace safety training programs.
• Develops, coordinates, schedules, and delivers training for agency personnel across Board.
• Maintains compliance with Georgia P.O.S.T. requirements and oversees training records and continuing education.
