Point Digital Finance, Inc. is hiring a Senior Security Operations Analyst (Detection & Response) to expand our security-ops function. You will help detect, investigate, and contain threats across a regulated consumer-finance environment, engineering detections, automating response, and hardening AWS and Google Workspace visibility.

This is a remote-first role with broad impact. You will own on-call rotations, develop runbooks, and drive continuous improvement of the incident-response practice.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in security operations or detection engineering.
• Hands-on experience participating in on-call / incident-response rotations.
• Strong SIEM skills with detections, rules, and dashboards.
• Cloud security experience in AWS and Google Workspace identity/log sources.
• Experience investigating end-to-end incidents (phishing, account takeover, BEC).
• Knowledge of vulnerability management and remediation coordination.
• Scripting/automation ability (Python or similar) for detection-as-code.
• Clear written/verbal communication; audit-ready documentation.
• Ability to work autonomously on a small team and own problems end to end.
• Authorized to work in the United States and participate in off-hours on-call.

Responsabilités

• Rotate on-call and lead response: triage, investigate, and contain incidents.
• Own response documentation: runbooks, escalation paths, post-incident reviews.
• Engineer detections: build and tune SIEM detections and dashboards.
• Close coverage gaps: reduce false positives and onboard new log sources.
• Own vulnerability management: prioritize findings and coordinate remediation.
• Automate response: develop detection-as-code and lightweight SOAR automation.
• Add operational redundancy: provide backup admin/response paths.
• Report and evidence: produce security metrics and audit-ready evidence.
• Apply AI to the workflow: leverage AI/LLM tooling for investigation and detection.
• Improve the program: contribute to security-ops tooling and threat monitoring.
