Job summary

Ascensus, a leading technology and service platform for savings plans, seeks a Principal Security Ops Analyst in Florida to oversee operational security responsibilities and incident response. The role requires coordinating with IT, risk, governance, and facilities teams to monitor events and improve processes.

You will manage and optimize security tools (IAM, IPS, SIEM, WAF, CASB, DLP, NAC) and report metrics quarterly.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Information Security or Security Operations.
• Experience with monitoring, detecting, and responding activities.
• Knowledge of information security risks, including remediation.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate associates.
• Highly organized with inventory of controls and findings.
• Bachelor’s degree required; CISSP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee security event monitoring and incident response.
• Manage and maintain security tools and configurations.
• Collaborate with IT, risk, governance, and facilities teams.
• Report security operations metrics quarterly.
• Assist with vendor assessment and selection when needed.
