Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma, PA driver’s license, and CPR/AED certification within six months. Preferred candidates may have police academy training and some security experience.

The senior security officer acts as a group leader for their shift. While not technically a supervisor, the senior security officer will report to their supervisor and act in the supervisors stead when the supervisor is not present. The senior security officer is responsible for hospital security incident investigation, crisis response, combative patient intervention, and safety related emergency response.
