Job summary

HealthPartners in Minnesota seeks a Senior Security Officer who acts as on-shift leader, primary Field Training Officer (FTO), and mobile patrol for ambulatory sites. The role combines hands-on security duties with mentoring and delivering training.

The Senior Security Officer guides responses to high-risk incidents, ensures policy adherence, and supports curriculum delivery at the New Security Officer Training Academy, reinforcing the organization's values and a safe environment for patients

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (minimum)
• AND one year of experience in HealthPartners Security
• OR a two year degree in a relevant field, or a relevant certification, or equivalent experience in healthcare security/public safety or emergency response
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license
• IAHSS Basic Certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire)

Responsibilities

Job description

Position Summary:

Senior Security Officer performs all duties of a Security Officer while serving as a primary Field Training Officer (FTO), mobile patrol and response to ambulatory sites, or other specialized duties, as well as being an on-shift leader. This role provides advanced operational support,leadsresponsesto high-risk incidents, and ensures consistent application of policies, procedures, and professional standards. Senior Officers mentor new and existing staff, deliver training during daily operations, and support the coordination and delivery of curriculum at the New Security Officer Training Academy. This position requires the ability to independently manage work, completing the duties outlined in this job description and other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule:

FTE 1.0, 40 hours per week, Pitman Schedule: Night shift - 12 hour shifts working 1800 to 0600 hours. 80 hours every two weeks (80.5 total); every other weekend.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• AND
• At least one (1) year of experience working inHealthPartners Security,
• OR
• Atwo yeardegree in a relevant field,ORa relevant certification,ORequivalent experience in healthcare security, public safety, or emergency response

Licensure / Registration / Certification:

• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license
• IAHSS Basic Certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience as a Field Training Officer, mobileSecurity resource,or other experience related to the specialization of the role.
• Knowledge of Joint Commission and Environment of Care standards.
