Job summary

HealthPartners is seeking a Senior Security Officer to perform advanced security duties, serve as a Field Training Officer, and lead on-shift operations across multiple sites. This role mentors staff, delivers essential training, and coordinates academy curricula to uphold safety and policy adherence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year of experience working in HealthPartners Security.
• A 2-year degree, related certification, or equivalent healthcare security/public safety experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary Field Training Officer (FTO) and on-shift leader for security operations.
• Lead mobile security patrols and rapid response at ambulatory sites and other assignments.
• Mentor new and existing staff and deliver training during daily operations.
• Coordinate and contribute to curriculum delivery at the New Security Officer Training Academy.
• Reinforce HealthPartners' values and ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors, colleagues, and property.
• Independently manage workloads and other duties as assigned.

Job description

Position Summary:

Senior Security Officer performs all duties of a Security Officer while serving as a primary Field Training Officer (FTO), mobile patrol and response to ambulatory sites, or other specialized duties, as well as being an on-shift leader. This role provides advanced operational support,leadsresponsesto high-risk incidents, and ensures consistent application of policies, procedures, and professional standards. Senior Officers mentor new and existing staff, deliver training during daily operations, and support the coordination and delivery of curriculum at the New Security Officer Training Academy. This position requires the ability to independently manage work, completing the duties outlined in this job description and other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule:

FTE 1.0, 40 hours per week, Pitman Schedule: Night shift - 12 hour shifts working 1800 to 0600 hours. 80 hours every two weeks (80.5 total); every other weekend.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• AND
• At least one (1) year of experience working inHealthPartners Security,
• OR
• Atwo yeardegree in a relevant field,ORa relevant certification,ORequivalent experience in healthcare security, public safety, or emergency response

Licensure / Registration / Certification:

• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license
• IAHSS Basic Certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience as a Field Training Officer, mobileSecurity resource,or other experience related to the specialization of the role.
• Knowledge of Joint Commission and Environment of Care standards.
