Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Senior Security Manager to lead day-to-day security operations for a government program, overseeing personnel, physical, and information security and ensuring compliance with DoD directives.

The role requires a Top Secret clearance with Poly, US citizenship, and a Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of related experience. You will partner with program leadership and security representatives to drive risk mitigation and incident response.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 7+ years in security operations or program security.
• Top Secret clearance with Poly and US citizenship required.
• Strong leadership, policy development, and incident response skills.
• Experience coordinating with HR, program leadership, and customers.
• Knowledge of NISPOM/DoD security directives is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day security operations for the program, including personnel, physical, and information/industrial security.
• Serve as primary security point of contact for program leadership and customer security representatives.
• Oversee clearance processing and maintenance for program staff with internal teams.
• Develop, maintain, and enforce program security plans, SOPs, and training.
• Monitor security compliance through self-inspections and audits; ensure audit-ready documentation.
• Manage incident reporting, investigations, and remediation; drive root cause analysis.
• Coordinate physical security measures for facilities, access controls, and visitor management.
• Support security reviews for new work and proposals; provide risk-informed recommendations.
• Support employee engagement through recurring security briefings and training.
• Use data to monitor security metrics and drive process improvements.
