Job summary

The Cedars of Chapel Hill is seeking a Security Manager to oversee daily security operations, staff performance, and safety protocols to protect Members, staff, and facilities. This full-time role requires coordinating recruitment, training, scheduling, and evaluations, and responding to alarms to maintain security and safety across the campus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.
• Minimum five years of security, military, police, emergency services or any combination with at least three years as a supervisor.
• Must possess current and valid driver’s license and driving record per Cedars policy.

Responsibilities

• Manage the performance of all security staff to protect Members, staff, buildings, equipment, and grounds.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and evaluate security staff; partner with HR for disciplinary actions.
• Supervise scheduled rounds inside and outside buildings to maintain a secure environment.
• Respond to all alarms.
• Report items needing repair, housekeeping, or maintenance.
