Job summary

LineVision in Boston seeks a seasoned Security Leader to own security engineering, operations, governance, and compliance across SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 programs. You will drive risk management, incident response, and customer security engagements while partnering with IT, Platform, Hardware, and Customer Success to turn security into a strategic advantage.

You will lead a Security Analyst, own on-call rotations, and shape security standards for a data-intensive grid intelligence platform.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in information security, with at least 2 years in a lead or people-management role.
• Direct ownership of SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 audits.
• Experience conducting risk assessments with NIST CSF or an equivalent framework.
• Hands-on experience with penetration testing, vulnerability management, and EDR/SIEM tooling (CrowdStrike preferred).
• Experience with AWS cloud security.
• Experience responding to enterprise customer security questionnaires and contract requirements.
• CISSP, or a commitment to earn it within 18 months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead security program governance, including SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001.
• Oversee security engineering, operations, risk management, and compliance.
• Manage incident response, vulnerability management, and threat detection tooling.
• Coordinate with IT, Platform, Hardware, and Customer Success to secure data and systems.
• Lead responses to customer security questionnaires and contract reviews.
• Develop and coach the security team and establish security roadmaps.
