Xcel Energy seeks a Protection Services professional to lead company-wide security programs and investigations. You will assess risks, design protective measures, and ensure regulatory compliance across facilities.

The role requires collaboration with site management and law enforcement as needed. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in industrial security, strong communication, and the ability to work flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security, Business, Public Administration or a related field.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must be able to travel with little advanced warning.
• CPP or PSP certification desired.

Responsibilities

• Conduct security risk assessments and security surveys.
• Recommend asset protection measures to reduce exposure.
• Provide consultations and design effective security systems.
• Create and update site-specific security plans for required sites.
• Coordinate with management to meet regulatory requirements while supporting operations.
• Develop and present security awareness programs.
• Participate in incident intake and investigations.
