Job summary

The Washington Nationals are seeking a Security & Identity Engineer to lead enterprise cybersecurity and identity management initiatives. You will advance Zero Trust, secure cloud/SaaS environments, and partner with IT Operations, R&D, Analytics, and Risk Management to embed security across the organization.

You will serve as senior escalation point and design authority for cybersecurity matters, participating in on-call rotations and collaborating with cross-functional teams to protect assets

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate enterprise security architecture.
• Manage Zero Trust principles including identity-first controls and segmentation.
• Secure cloud, SaaS, and hybrid environments with appropriate controls.
• Administer identity platforms (Azure AD/Entra ID, Okta, SSO, MFA).
• Enforce role-based and least-privilege access models; lifecycle management.
• Monitor, investigate, and respond to security events and incidents; develop playbooks.
