Job summary

True Zero Technologies is seeking a highly experienced Lead Security Engineer and Portfolio Manager to provide technical leadership in cybersecurity engineering for a federal program. The role emphasizes application security, cloud security, and enterprise security architecture, with oversight of delivery performance, revenue, and contract compliance.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 15+ years of relevant experience in cybersecurity engineering, app security, cloud security, information assurance, or related technical disciplines.
• Active CISSP certification – Mandatory.
• Active CCSP certification – Mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of security principles, secure SDLC, vulnerability assessment, risk management, and enterprise security architecture.
• Experience securing cloud environments and implementing controls across enterprise apps and infra.
• Familiar with federal security requirements and frameworks (NIST, RMF, FISMA).
• Proven ability to lead technical teams, manage projects and budgets, and engage senior government clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and oversight of enterprise application security and cybersecurity engineering solutions for federal requirements.
• Provide SME in application security, cloud security, vulnerability management, and secure architecture.
• Develop objectives, project plans, and direct security engineering activities for program delivery.
• Assess risks, identify vulnerabilities, and propose mitigations for applications and cloud infrastructure.
• Provide leadership for major cybersecurity initiatives, including resources, budgets, and deliverables.
• Collaborate with government stakeholders and cross-functional teams to define security requirements and decisions.
• Develop and enforce security engineering standards, policies, and frameworks.
• Mentor security engineers and ensure successful project execution.
