Job summary

Google Kirkland, WA, is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to lead the security strategy for Workspace accounts and protect Google Cloud customers from evolving threats. You will mentor junior engineers and collaborate with product engineering and threat intel teams to build automated defenses.

The role emphasizes vulnerability research, adversarial simulations, and architecting customer-facing agentic tools, with a strong leadership component and focus on secure systems across Google Workspace.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with security assessments or security design reviews or threat modeling.
• 5 years of experience with security engineering, computer and network security and security protocols.
• 5 years of coding experience in one or more general purpose languages.
• 1 year of experience leading teams in a technical capacity or leading technical risk analysis.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive the technical strategy and threat modeling for Workspace account security.
• Lead vulnerability research and adversarial simulation to expose MFA techniques.
• Build agentic defense systems to autonomously detect, analyze, and mitigate threats.
• Architect and deploy customer-facing agentic tools for Workspace and Google Cloud customers.
• Lead incident mitigation with product engineering teams.
