Job summary

Google is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to advance the security of Workspace accounts within the Cloud and Workspace teams. You will drive threat modeling, design reviews, and architect agentic defense tools to protect Google’s users and developers against evolving threats.

You will lead vulnerability research, collaborate with product engineering, and mentor junior engineers while delivering customer-facing security tools that empower clients to secure their environments and respond to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.
• 5 years of experience with security assessments or security design reviews or threat modeling.
• 5 years of experience with security engineering, computer and network security and security protocols.
• 5 years of coding experience in one or more general purpose languages.
• 1 year of experience leading teams in a technical capacity or leading technical risk analysis in an enterprise environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive Technical Strategy and Threat Modeling for Workspace account security.
• Lead vulnerability research and adversarial simulation to expose account takeover techniques.
• Build agentic defense systems and simulators to autonomously detect and mitigate threats.
• Co-Develop customer-facing security tools to help Workspace and Google Cloud customers monitor and secure environments.
• Lead incident mitigation and develop long-term fixes in collaboration with product engineering teams.
