Eliassen Group is seeking a Senior Security Engineer for a remote-capable contract role. The candidate will manage the vulnerability lifecycle, operate Tenable Security Center, and translate risk into actionable steps for multiple teams across Windows, Linux, and cloud environments.

The role emphasizes remediation guidance, cross-functional collaboration, and alignment with PCI/HIPAA/SOX controls. Prior experience with Brinqa and cloud platforms is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in cybersecurity with a focus on vulnerability management.
• Experience implementing and guiding remediation strategies for risk.
• Ability to translate technical risk into actionable steps for stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Support end-to-end vulnerability management lifecycle from identification to remediation guidance.
• Operate and maintain vulnerability scanning tools (Tenable Security Center).
• Analyze findings, determine risk, and communicate priorities to teams.
• Develop remediation guidance and suggest compensating controls when needed.
• Coordinate remediation with application and infrastructure teams.
• Create clear technical documentation and remediation instructions.
