Job summary

World Wide Technology (WWT) is seeking a Sr. Security Engineer for a full-time, on-site role in San Antonio, TX.

The position requires active Top Secret/SCI clearance and DoD experience, focusing on platform operations, automation, threat intelligence, and security analytics. You will deploy and sustain cyber platforms, troubleshoot Linux apps and containers, and support MITRE ATT&CK-aligned detection workflows in a DoW environment.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, CS, Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity platforms or DoD/enterprise IT.
• Experience with NDR/IDS such as Zeek or Suricata.
• Experience with Elastic Stack and ingesting large telemetry.
• Experience threat hunting in AWS using CloudTrail and VPC Flow Logs.
• Experience with Docker, Podman, or Kubernetes; Linux administration.

Responsibilities

• Support deployment, configuration, and sustainment of cloud-based cyber platform components.
• Maintain Linux-based apps and services on containers or VMs.
• Work with network forensics tools like Zeek and Suricata.
• Develop automation using Python to support security analytics.
• Integrate threat intelligence and MITRE ATT&CK workflows.
