Job summary

Pinnacle Advanced LLC, based in Louisville, KY, is seeking a Security Engineer to safeguard our systems and networks. The role is full-time with a negotiable salary between $150,000 and $211,992 per year.

You will design security measures, monitor incidents, and drive ongoing risk assessments in a collaborative team environment. Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity or related field, 5+ years in security engineering, and experience with SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and EDR.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a security engineering or related role.
• Knowledge of security frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO, and CIS.
• Experience with security tools and technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and EDR.
• Strong understanding of network security principles and practices.
• Experience with cloud security and infrastructure as code (IaC).
• Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or OSCP are a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security protocols and procedures to protect our systems and data.
• Monitor and respond to security incidents, conducting investigations and implementing corrective actions.
• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of our operations.
• Develop and maintain security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Provide security awareness training to employees to promote a culture of security.
• Work with vendors and third-party partners to ensure they meet our security requirements.
