Highmark Health is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join the Enterprise Application Security team. You will embed security into the software SDLC, shaping how security is built in from the first line of code to production deployment.

This high-impact role focuses on shift-left security, security-as-code policies, and collaborating with engineering to reduce vulnerabilities enterprise-wide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, information systems, or related field.
• 7+ years in information security or risk management.
• Experience with CI/CD security and secure SDLC practices.
• Familiarity with AI security concepts and software supply chain security.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements and governance for AppSec programs and risk management.
• Provide hands-on training and mentorship to engineering teams.
• Deliver security projects on time, within scope and budget.
• Implement, monitor, configure, and maintain security systems.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and governance requirements.
