Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with security assessments or security design reviews or threat modeling.
• 5 years of experience with security engineering, computer and network security and security protocols.
• 5 years of coding experience in one or more general purpose languages.
• 1 year of experience leading teams in a technical capacity or leading technical risk analysis in an enterprise environment.
• Experience interpreting and implementing controls mapped to industry frameworks and regulatory standards (e.g., NIST SP 800-53, SOC 2, ISO/IEC 27001, GDPR).

Responsibilities

• Drive high-impact, cross-quarter technical initiatives within Cloud Controls Uplift Strategy and Control Reporting Expansion.
• Perform complex risk assessments, system design reviews, and threat modeling across Google Cloud products.
• Translate standards into actionable control specs and design, implement, and automate security controls and reporting using AI.
• Define Key Control Indicators and publish Control Performance and Coverage Reports.
• Lead remediation efforts and mentor junior engineers, setting direction for controls engineering and assurance.
