Google LLC is seeking a Senior Security Engineer in Trust and Safety, Intel Security Engineering, to lead Detection and Response for GenAI-related incidents and to drive security readiness. The role partners with product and security teams to identify, mitigate, and communicate AI-related risks for users and developers.

You will design and develop tools to surface risk signals, contribute to playbooks, and guide incident management for critical AI security issues across Google’s platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience required.
• 5 years of experience with security assessments or security design reviews or threat modeling.
• 5 years of experience with security engineering, computer and network security and security protocols.
• 5 years of coding experience in one or more general purpose languages.
• 1 year of experience leading teams in a technical capacity or leading technical risk analysis.

Responsibilities

• Drive Detection and Response for severe GenAI-related security incidents impacting external users, developers, and the public.
• Develop tools, processes, and signal sources to surface risk signals and deliver actionable intelligence.
• Provide security expertise to product teams and external stakeholders to catalyze risk mitigation.
• Support incident management, playbooks, escalation procedures, and readiness exercises.
