Job summary

Cohere is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a security focus to join our North team. You will own and ship production security features that power our AI security-first platform, including authentication, token management, and data protection.

You’ll build secure software, implement OIDC/OAuth flows, manage secrets in Kubernetes, and collaborate across teams to promote security best practices in a fast-moving, global environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building user-facing security features in production systems.
• Strong production Python experience and ownership of security features.
• Deep understanding of OIDC/OAuth 2.0, JWT validation, and token lifecycle management.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in dev and prod environments.
• Experience across GCP, AWS, Azure, or hybrid/multi-cloud deployments.

Responsibilities

• Own and ship production security features for Cohere North.
• Develop secure software, including OIDC/OAuth flows and session management.
• Implement authentication, token management, and data protection measures.
• Integrate new security tools and secrets management within Kubernetes clusters.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to communicate security best practices.
