Autonomous Solutions, Inc. (ASI) in Utah seeks an experienced Security Engineer III to design and implement defense‑in‑depth security architecture across endpoints, identity, cloud, and network.

You will own the tooling portfolio end to end, deploying EDR, MDR, and SIEM, and define secure baselines across ASI systems. You will lead investigations and responses to significant security incidents, serving as the senior escalation point with minimal day‑to‑day oversight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, or related field; or equivalent training/experience.
• 5–10 years of security engineering/architecture/operations experience.
• Experience designing layered, defense‑in‑depth controls across endpoint, identity, network and cloud.
• Hands-on experience deploying and administering EDR and SIEM platforms.
• Experience leading security incident investigation and response as a senior escalation point.
• Experience evaluating and selecting security tooling with requirements definition and PoC testing.
• Knowledge of NIST SP 800-53/171, CIS Controls, or IEC 62443.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement layered security architecture across endpoint, identity, email, network, and cloud controls.
• Manage tooling portfolio across EDR, MDR, SIEM.
• Extend tooling coverage to email and web security, vulnerability management, and identity protection.
• Evaluate platforms, define requirements, run PoC pilots, and recommend vendors.
• Own one or more security platforms end to end from deployment to ongoing management.
• Tune SIEM rules, log sources, and alerting to widen detection while reducing false positives.
• Define and maintain secure configuration baselines across the environment.
• Lead investigation and response for significant security incidents.
• Serve as senior escalation point for security issues.
