Job summary

Capital One is seeking Security Engineers who are passionate about building automated controls, cloud security architecture, and DevSecOps solutions to join our team. You’ll lead design across cloud and on-prem environments and work to embed security by design in enterprise platforms.

Preferred candidates have 3+ years in cloud security, 5+ years in cybersecurity, and familiarity with CI/CD security, IaC, and automation, with a Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of cybersecurity or information technology experience.
• 3+ years in a cloud-based environment.
• 2+ years designing and implementing automated security solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of technology platforms and automated controls across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Architect and implement scalable IAM, endpoint, network, and data protection systems.
• Develop automation for vulnerability management, detection, and compliance monitoring.
• Serve as a technical advisor during complex incident response and forensics investigations.
• Partner with software, cloud and infrastructure teams to embed security by design into enterprise platforms.
• Evaluate and integrate new security technologies for interoperability and scalability.
• Influence and codify engineering standards, patterns, and reusable modules.
• Participate in ongoing support of security tools including investigations, analysis and break fixes.
