Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior cybersecurity professional to design and implement controls across cloud, endpoints, and applications. You will lead threat detection, incident response, and collaboration with engineering to embed security into development and AI workflows.

Candidates should have 5+ years in security, strong scripting skills, and experience with EDR/XDR, SIEM, and compliance efforts. Excellent communication is essential for cross-functional work.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in cybersecurity, security engineering, or related field.
• Strong networking, OS, cloud security, identity management knowledge.
• Experience with EDR/XDR platforms, SIEMs, vulnerability scanners, and monitoring tools.
• Proficient in scripting/automation (Python, Ansible, Terraform) or similar.
• Familiar with SOC, NIST CSF, CIS Controls, ISO 27001 frameworks.
• Led or participated in compliance for a security framework.
• Excellent communication to explain security concepts to diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security controls across cloud, endpoints, applications, and internal systems.
• Monitor, investigate, and respond to security events and incidents with internal and external teams.
• Manage and optimize security technologies including EDR/XDR, SIEM, and vulnerability management.
• Conduct security assessments, vulnerability reviews, and risk analyses for internal and third-party apps.
• Partner with Engineering and Product to integrate security into SDLC and AI workflows.
• Help develop scalable security policies, incident response procedures, and processes.
