Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Security Engineer 4 (SWG, Remote Access) to drive secure platform design across cloud and on-prem environments. You will build automated controls and partner with software, cloud, and infrastructure teams to embed security by design.

The role requires hands-on experience with SWG, IAM, and automation, plus strong incident response capabilities. This is a full-time position based on Riverwoods, IL with a compensation framework and incentives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in cybersecurity or IT.
• 4+ years with Secure Web Gateways, proxy tech, and remote access solutions.
• 2+ years designing and implementing automated security solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of technology platforms and automated controls across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Architect and implement scalable IAM, endpoint, network, and data protection systems.
• Develop automation for vulnerability management, detection, and compliance monitoring.
• Serve as advisor during incident response and forensics investigations.
• Partner with software, cloud and infrastructure teams to embed security by design.
