Job summary

Oak Crest Village by Erickson Senior Living seeks a Security and Emergency Services Officer II (EMR/EMT) for our gated retirement community in Parkville, MD. The role involves patrols, relief staffing for the gatehouse, and rapid response to emergencies, with enforcement of traffic and parking rules.

Qualified candidates must be 18+, hold a valid driver’s license, and have CPR and EMR certifications; EMR or higher licensure is acceptable, with a 30-day window to obtain EMR if needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Prior experience in Security and/or Emergency Medical Services is preferred.
• Current CPR for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Current Emergency Medical Responder certification; higher level certification/licensure acceptable; must obtain EMR within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular patrols of the property, provide relief staffing for the gatehouse, and respond to emergency and routine calls for service.
• Enforce all traffic and parking regulations.
• Respond to calls for service from dispatch and security.
• Respond to medical emergencies with efficient first aid and EMS assistance as needed.
• Follow up on reports of missing items, theft, vandalism, and other potential crime.
• Coordinate with local police, fire, and EMS during emergencies and complete incident reports.
