Job summary

FastTek Global seeks a System Analyst to advance security and compliance for public sector retirement benefits systems. The role centers on aligning technology with state regulations, risk management, and governance requirements.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define security controls, support audits, and develop audit-ready documentation to ensure dependable, compliant services for stakeholders and citizens. Experience with DRPs, BCPs, RTOs, and RPOs is valued.

Qualifications

• Seven years of security, compliance, risk management, or related experience in government, public retirement system, or regulated financial environment.
• Experience developing, documenting, and evaluating security controls, compliance requirements, and governance processes.
• Experience supporting security assessments, audit activities, policy reviews, and control validations.
• Knowledge of NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, and state IT security standards (5+ years).
• Experience using Azure DevOps and GRC platforms is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, document, and validate security processes, system requirements, and interagency interactions supporting retirement benefits administration.
• Collaborate with program offices, technical teams, and SMEs to define and refine security and compliance requirements for system enhancements.
• Create and maintain audit-ready documentation, including security requirements, user stories, workflows, and use cases.
• Support solution design and participate in testing phases (UAT) to verify security controls and compliance.
• Recommend improvements to strengthen security posture and efficiency.
• Monitor project milestones to ensure alignment with security objectives and governance mandates.
• Assist in developing training materials and delivering security and compliance education.
• Conduct gap analyses and assess impacts of legislative/regulatory changes on operations and security.
