Job summary

Everforth Apex in Columbia, SC is seeking a Senior Security Automation Engineer to design, develop, and deploy security automations, integrate tools, and support security operations in a large enterprise environment.

You will build Python-based automations, APIs, dashboards, and CLI tools, while applying secure SDLC practices and collaborating with security teams.

The role covers IAM, DSPM/ASM, SIEM, XDR, SOAR, and Linux systems, with on-call rotations and continuous improvement expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Security, or a related field.
• Eight years of relevant professional experience.
• Five years of experience supporting large IT environments, security systems, and enterprise deployments.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, develop, deploy, administer, and support enterprise security automations and tools.
• Develop Python-based automations, APIs, scripts, dashboards, and SDK integrations.
• Build automated workflows for alert enrichment, incident response, and reporting.
• Integrate security platforms with ticketing systems, IAM, data sources, APIs, and SDKs.
• Support IAM, DSPM, ASM, vulnerability management, SIEM, SOAR, and cloud security.
• Collaborate with security architects, engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to improve solutions.
