Job summary

Jobtailor in the United States is seeking a security-focused engineer to join the Security Development and Design team. This role centers on building security automation, deploying code securely, and elevating platform resilience across cloud and on-prem environments.

You will work with GitLab-based CI/CD, design and optimize security tool deployments, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement monitoring, incident response, and governance across applications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation.
• Solid knowledge of OpenSearch and PostgreSQL, with optimization basics.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (CloudFormation, Terraform, Azure RM, GDM).
• Ability to learn and maintain cutting-edge security skills.
• Experience deploying software in production environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for distributed systems.
• Ability to design solutions for complex problems and drive process improvement.
• Experience handling confidential information and security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop security automation capabilities within the Security Development and Design team.
• Architect and implement code deployment pipelines using GitLab or similar CI/CD.
• Design and optimize security tool deployments across Cyber Security capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to information security programs.
• Design, develop, and host applications with security requirements.
• Build and maintain runbooks for application support and incident response.
• Design and implement monitoring for all aspects of applications and alerts.
• Communicate with stakeholders and contribute to technical decisions.
• Take ownership of security automation projects and team initiatives.
• Research and evaluate new technologies and security tools to enhance team capabilities.
