Job summary

Sound Transit in Seattle is seeking a Security Assurance Analyst to support its Information Security program. You will conduct system audits, assist in vulnerability management, and ensure major systems comply with internal controls and industry requirements.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/engineering and about five years in IT security, with certifications such as CISA/CISSP or Security+ preferred. Hybrid work and strong benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/engineering or closely related field.
• Five years of IT experience with a focus on security, risk, data protection or compliance.
• Certifications such as CISA, CISSP, Security+ or GIAC preferred.
• Experience with security auditing and governance processes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct security reviews of systems and applications against internal and external standards.
• Support audits of agency applications through evidence collection and validation.
• Lead/Manage penetration testing, code analysis and segmentation testing.
• Conduct system-specific vulnerability assessments and remediation planning.
• Translate security policy into actionable product requirements.
