Job summary

Sorenson Communications is seeking a Security Architect to drive the enterprise cybersecurity architecture strategy, standards, and patterns across identity, cloud, data, and AI platforms. The role leads the Security Architecture Review process, partnering with EA, Engineering, Product, Legal, and Compliance to embed security in design and decisions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience designing and governing security architectures.
• Experience evaluating emerging technologies and providing architecture recommendations.
• Strong leadership in architecture reviews and security-by-design practices.

Responsibilities

• Define and govern enterprise cybersecurity architecture strategy, standards, reference architectures, and design patterns.
• Lead Security Architecture Review process for significant initiatives including cloud, AI, data platforms and third-party services.
• Define risk-based review criteria, artifacts, security requirements, and exception-management processes.
• Ensure security is integrated early in solution design, procurement, and implementation planning.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (EA, Engineering, Product, Data, Legal, Compliance) to align security with business goals.
• Oversee threat modeling, security-by-design, and architecture governance, and drive metrics for efficacy.
