Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. seeks a Senior Security Architect to own the technical aspects of integrating Akamai's Security Solutions for client projects from design through implementation, testing and sign-off.

You will analyze customer traffic, customize security solutions, and work with customers to solve complex issues while leading a team and collaborating with cross-functional groups. A Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in security architecture are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in security architecture or related field.
• Strong knowledge of OWASP, network security products, firewalls, HTTP/HTTPS/DNS.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills and accountability

Responsibilities

• Own the technical aspects of integration (configuration, debugging, documentation, testing, go-live) of Akamai Security Solutions.
• Analyze customer traffic and systems; tailor Akamai security solutions to address security issues.
• Work with customers to identify and solve complex problems during integration and support.
• Lead and develop the team through training, coaching and mentoring.
• Collaborate with cross-functional project teams to scope, timeline, and deliver technical solutions.
• Participate in ongoing training to develop skills.

Make an impact on future of Internet Security

Security Architects, part of the Akamai Professional Services team. Work directly with clients to deliver Akamai's solutions. You will be involved with projects from design through implementation, testing and customer sign-off.

As a Senior Security Architect, you will be responsible for:

• Owning the technical aspects of integration (configuration, debugging, documentation, testing, go-live) of our Security Solutions
• Analyzing customer traffic as well as systems and customizing Akamai security solutions to answer customers' security issues
• Working with customers to identify and solve complex problems that arise as part of integration and support.
• Leading and developing the team through training, coaching and mentoring.
• Collaborating with cross-functional project team to scope, set timelines, create technical solutions, and support the ongoing implementation
• Participating in ongoing training initiatives to develop your skills

Do What You Love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 5+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in a related field or its equivalent.
• Be able to demonstrate experience with Bots, WAF, Incident Management, Attack Analysis and Mitigation
• Have experience as a Penetration Tester or Security Architect or Network Security Engineer or similar industry field
• Have great knowledge of OWASP, network security products, network/application firewalls, server and client-side application architecture and understanding of internet technologies like HTTP, HTTPS & DNS
• Have good communication and collaboration skills and be an accountable member of the team
