Job summary

onX is seeking a Senior Security Analyst I to protect our systems, data, and customers. This hands-on role focuses on security monitoring, incident response, and application/vendor security across GCP and on-prem environments.

You will build automations to reduce manual work, partner with the SRE team on cloud security, and help mature a growing security program while reporting to the Director of IT and Security.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in security operations, incident response, or related role
• Experience tuning and operating SIEM/EDR platforms
• Leading incident response and post-incident analysis
• Knowledge of vulnerability management and application security testing
• Strong written and verbal communication, aligning leadership on risk
• Ability to work independently and set standards across monitoring and response
• GCP knowledge including IAM, logging, and core services
• Collaboration with Infrastructure/engineering on cloud/app security
• Experience building scripts or automations to reduce manual security work
• Sound judgment balancing risk with business needs

Responsibilities

• Own security monitoring and detection responsibilities, including SIEM/EDR tuning and cloud visibility
• Execute incident response playbooks and lead major incident handling
• Run security audits of applications and coordinate with product/engineering on remediation
• Support SOC 2 Type 2 compliance with evidence gathering and automation tooling
• Propose and implement automation to reduce manual security operations tasks
• Mentor security team members and drive security program improvements
